Art Direction | Experiential Design
The Austin team wanted to liven up a large, dark office space. We used local inspiration, the music scene, beloved restaurants, and famous Austin landmarks. We were able to experiment a lot on this project with different printing techniques and installations.
We experimented with graphics printed directly onto wood fencing. This is how we were able to recreate the backyard Shady Grove fence. The restaurant let me do a photoshoot one morning and reprint the images directly onto the fencing to recreate their beer garden into the Austin office outdoor space.
Another fun project was O’Fixes, the IT helpdesk. Our goal was to make this look like an Irish pub. Rather than install a graphic wallpaper finish to mimic an exterior we decided to use crown molding and paint to add dimension. The exterior walls combined with the dimensional signage gave a much more realistic finish to the facade.
Rackspace Austin | Frost Tower
The new Rackspace Austin office also known as Area 512 wanted us to capture the Austin quirk and cool in their new space. We decided to go with a food truck theme.
